PROJECTS OVERVIEW

back to top

WANGAPOA.COM

my mountainbike photography portfolio. I wanted to create a flash-like gallery (but without flash) with a clean and simple layout that rather concentrates on the pictures than too much text. Jquery, valid css and xhtml made it possible.
wangapoa.com is constantly changing, as it is my "test ground" for new web techniques, right now you see version #5.

// wangapoa.com

STEVEN.ROLLNIK.COM

the website of professional downhill mtb rider Steven Rollnik. I put the emphasis on fullscreen pictures to draw the viewers attention to Steven Rollnik's skills, lifestyle and professionalism. In order to create that "atmosphere" I used javascript, flash, valid xhtml and css. I also took all the pictures you might find.

77DESIGNZ.COM

77designz, maker of highend and lightweight downhill bicycle components, e.g. the freesolo and freeduo chainguide, the lightweight stem and their new flatout frame prototype, was in need of a new website. A valid xhtml, css and jquery site was the answer...

// not yet finished... stay tuned

BERGSPORT SUNDERMANN

muenster's biggest outdoor & trekking store. After three years of using fullscreen background pictures to catch the customers attention, it is time for a rather subtle website... Go see yourself!
The same design was used for a xt-commerce webshop template, too.

ANWALT SIEBERT

personalisation, personalisation and even more personalisation is the key to marketing success! I will implement this marketing concept with lots of visual assistance. The code will be strict css, xhtml, some jquery and the new cushy cms. Not too much fancyness as this is a lawyers website, the design still has to stay confident and elegant.
I also took all the pictures you will see.

SPROCKET-SHOOTER.COM

i redesigned the sprocket shooter blog, this time on a validated xhtml, css and jquery base, as we won't be just needing it as a photo blog anymore.

The next big photography project is coming...

// sprocket-shooter.com

MORITZ GmbH

My oldest customer gets a redesign of his website... more to come soon.

// moritz-gebaeudereinigung.de

LOTUS SPAS

I'll be doing the new german hompage of Lotus Spas. Lotus Spas is a premium line of portable spas manufactured by respected European manufacturer of spas with a tradition of quality and innovation in water sport equipment for 15 years... The whole design is based on css, html, jquery and fancyzoom

// lotusspas.de

WINTERLAUFSERIE

Bergsport Sundermann is co-sponsoring the Steinfurter Winterlaufserie and needed a website for information and regristration. I used the specified colour scheme that we also used for the flyers, brochures and posters and adopted the website to fit that look.

WILD BIKES

The home of my good friends legendary bicycle shop in Beelen! Whatever you need, from the newest Specialized downhill mtb, highend Rohloff gear to some decent cruising bikes, electric biks from Bion X and Vital bikes or just a good hint where to go for a good ride... go and see Olli.
His website was entirely done with css, xhtml, and some jquery. Personalisation was very important with this project... go see it yourself, you'll recognize what I mean.

MAMMUT ALPINE SCHOOL

a new website for bergsport sundermann, a cooperation of mammut alpine school and sundermann outdoor. website is validated xhtml and css.

// mammutalpineschool.bergsportsundermann.de

LAUFTEAM SUNDERMANN

this wordpress website is for the local running team of bergsport sundermann. Wordpress, fontburner, brass, valid xhtml was used for this project.

// laufteamsundermann.de

SUNDERMANN JAHRESPLANER

the sundermann "all-year-activity-brochure" needed to be online, too. So I made a downloadable pdf version, an online readable flash version and a valid xhtml, css, jquery, fluid 960.gs, cufon version.

// jahresplaner.bergsportsudnermann.de

BERG FIDEL DIRTPARK

one of my most recent projects, both in the real world and on the net. Shovelling dirt and coding things at once ;-) The website is far from being complete, so check back from time to time.

// bergfidel-dirtpark.de

MUENSTER MOHAWKS

five years of the Muenster Mohawks Lacrosse Team... time for an anniversary tournament. I made the (xhtml, css and jquery) microsite and the fitting email campaign.

HOW I WORK

1. Make a Plan

Goals | Ideas | Visions

When I start with a new project, it is usually the client who comes up to me with and idea, or a vision, maybe the client has only a very vague idea of what he wants... and that's where the planning with me begins.

It is very importent (and sometimes even overlooked) to keep an eye on the idea behind a project's website right from the start when beginning with basic structure.

2. Design Process

Typography | UI | Graphic Design

The basic structure of a website is set, the client and me know where we go and what we want to get... off I go.

The look and feel of a website is most important, as it will be the first impression of the website. It's time to make some conceptual designs and a user interface that best suits the needs of the project.

3. Programming

XHTML | CSS | JQuery

The decision what programming language to use is set with the client together.

Depending on the plan and the design, I usually propose in what way (XHTML, CSS, jquery, mootools, Flash, ecommerce solutions, cms, etc...) we can accomplish the task most effectively, explain them to the client and than choose from these options.

4. Analyze the Web

Maintenance | Analysis |

The project is done, the website is launched and that's it?

No, better not! Now it's rather important to keep track of the website, see how people are using the website, look at entry points and porpular content. A perfect base to analyze and optimize website.
